Living Legend Leonard Cohen extends tour
Hot on the heels of his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, legendary singer -songwriter Leonard Cohen announced a world tour. His first in 15 years.
The poet and songwriter toured Canada and Europe in the spring and summer of 2008 to universal acclaim. Now the tour has now been extended, due to "overwhelming demand", into the autumn of 2008.
Osbournes sell family treasures
The Osbournes have cleared out their Gothic-style mansion in Beverly Hills, their Malibu home and their Buckinghamshire mansion for the sale. A portion of the proceeds, expected to top £1 million, will go to the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation.
Cricket fans web site sold to Disney
Cricinfo was rescued by the Wisden Group, publishers of the cricketing bible, in 2003 in a £2.7 million deal. Now Wisden, owned by Mark Getty, have decided that the business would best be owned by a broadcaster.
Disney is keen to expand in India, the most lucrative cricket market in the world.

Arctic Monkeys crash charts with second album
The Arctic Monkeys broke new records on 29 April when 18 of the group’s songs made it into the UK Charts. The Top 200 included all 12 songs from the group’s new album “Favourite Worst Nightmare”. This makes it the first time an entire album has charted. The highest placed track was Brainstorm which fell from number 2 last week to number 7.
Isaak woos crowd with his Wicked Ways
What a showman. What an entertainer Isaak is. He rushed on stage, very energetic in a bright pink suit. For 50 he is very well preserved, having retained the famous "pompadour" hair do helps. His voice was great too, he can still hit all those high notes. What is it, a 3 octave range – maybe more?
Fire destroys Johnny Cash's house
Johnny Cash's lakeside home has been destroyed by fire during its refurbishment for new owner Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.
Fire trucks arrived within five minutes of thte alrm being raised, but the house was already ablaze. Just a few hours later, there was almost nothing left of the mainly wooden structure except its stone chimneys.

Blackie & the Rodeo Kings rock the Borderline
Went to see Blackie and the Rodeo Kings at London's Borderline club last night. Their first ever European tour.
Around 8.30 pm three grizzled, middle-aged musicians in black Nashville glitter suits leapt on the stage and tore the place apart for the next two hours. Playing a blend of hard country rock and rootsy r and b, they were just sensational. Think ZZ top meets Tom Petty.

Former BeeGee buys Johnny Cash's home
Singer-songwriter Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and his wife June, recently purchased Johnny and June Carter Cash's former home in Nashville, Tennessee and are currently restoring it.
"This place will always be the spiritual home for the Cashes," Gibb said in a written statement. "My wife, Linda, and I are determined to preserve it, to honour their memory."
