Earliest T Rex discovered
A breakthrough discovery has been reported by a team of Polish scientists.
Paleontologists digging in a brickyard in southern Poland have discovered the remains of a dinosaur they say is a previously unknown ancestor of the Tyrannosaurus Rex and a dicynodont, a mammal-like reptile, in the village of Lisowice in southern Poland.

Starfish shoals washed up on Kent Coast
For five miles they stretched along the beaches, a gruesome line of dead starfish.
Fishermen and bird-watchers at Pegwell Bay near Sandwich, Kent, discovered a "carpet" of thousands of the creatures lying on the sand just above the water line.
One theory for the cause is that the starfish had run out of mussels to eat off shore and had moved into shallow water in the search for food. The local mussel beds were dredged recently.
Monster Frog Fossil found in Madagascar
A 70-million-year-old fossil of a giant frog has been unearthed in Madagascar by a team of UK and US scientists.
The creature would have been the size of a "squashed beach ball" and weighed about 4kg (9lb), the researchers said.
BA jet crashes at Heathrow
British Airways flight BA038 from Beijing (China) to London crash landed short of the south runway at Heathrow Airport on 17 January 2008 causing major disruption to flights and local traffic.
All 136 passengers on board the Boeing 777 were safely evacuated. The incident happened as British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was due to leave Heathrow for China and India.
Goats sacrificed to appease sky god
Nepal Airlines sacrificed two goats on the runway in front of a troublesome Boeing 757 in an offering to appease the Hindu sky god, Akash Bhairab, and put an end to the plan's faults.
The goats were slaughtered at Nepal's only international airport in Kathmandu in accordance with Hindu traditions, an official said.

Superman Beware

"I'm afraid it's not green and it doesn't glow either - although it will react to ultraviolet light by fluorescing a pinkish-orange," Dr Chris Stanley, a mineralogist at London's Natural History Museum.
