"The slippery are very crafty"
After an anti-spitting campaign and a toilet modernisation drive, the Olympic clean-up of Beijing is spreading to the city's badly translated English signs and menus.  

This could mark the end for such gems as "pubic toilets", entreaties for people to "show mercy to the slender grass" and the notorious caution about wet floors: "The slippery are very crafty."

Famous for Five Minutes?
Looks like an ad for Gucci doesn't it? Well it certainly fooled the staff at Swiss fashion magazine SonntagsZeitung recently. They ran it and invoiced Gucci their usual $50,000.

Only Gucci knew nothing about it and after red faces all round the hunt is on to find the merry prankster. Sounds to us here at OTL like the sort of trick Banksy might pull..........
