Not to be taken by mouth

Some say it’s a jelly bean, some say it’s a pill but it's definitely one to keep well away from young children.

Welcome to the capsule USB Flash drive. This latest goodie, from Hong Kong-based IT novelty supplier Brando, is high up there in the "Useless but Cool " stakes.

Available in a choice of red, yellow or green, the 2GB drive measures roughly 6.5 x 2 x 2cm. Brando charges $35 (£26/€18) a pill, so buying enough to fill a jar - not included - could set you back a bob or two.

But then you'd always have a USB Flash drive handy when you needed one...

And if you did swallow? We're sure the pill will survive its alimentary adventure unscathed, though we wouldn't relish cleaning it afterward.

Wolf down a curry and it'd be out in... er... a Flash.

Buy as many as you like from Brando's website
