Welcome to The Naked Reader — a Commonplace book for Cyberspace. Launched in 2006.
We don't go in for Mission Statements, but if we did ours would be To Entertain, to Amuse, To Inform. There is stuff here about history, science, music, style, bikes, anything and everything which takes our fancy. If it interests us, it's in. We hope it will interest you too.
Feel free to dip in and out as the mood takes you. You can catch up on all our content in the Sections on the left. And keep coming back. It will be all be updated on a rolling basis. (You can get to the main stories by clicking on the subject headlines or via the features sections at the left.)
We also want to hear from readers who can contribute directly. International correspondents particularly welcomed. (And don't worry if you're not too hot on spelling or grammar, we're not censorious, we'll tidy it up for you if needed).
