The photo shown alongside this feature appears to be an ad for Gucci. Certainly the Swiss fashion magazine SonntagsZeitung thought so when it arrived in their ad department recently. They published it and invoiced Gucci its usual $50,000 fee.
Well think again. "Not us mate" said Gucci or words to that effect when the invoice arrived. The ad was actually a fake. No-one knows who the brooding joker is although Gucci and SonntagsZeitung would very much like to find out.
Answers on a postcard please to either organisation. Meanwhile the identity of the hoaxer remains a secret although it is rumoured that he has form. Sounds to us here at OTL like the sort of trick Banksy might pull..........
