An auction of the late Syd Barrett's last possessions raised more than £100,000 recently. Among the former Pink Floyd star's stuff sold were ten paintings, bicycles and a classical guitar.
In total, Cambridge auctioneers raised £119,000 from the sale of 77 items. Syd's family told the press they plan to use the money to aid "educational development" in the art world.
Syd Barrett died of cancer in June 2006 at the age of 60.
